ABOUT
ANT ANTICS FOUNDATION
We are a not-for-profit organisation called the Ant Antics Foundation. We focus on conservation, education, and outreach across the UK. Our mission is to protect native ant species and their ecosystems, raise awareness about their role in nature, and inspire the next generation of ecologists and conservationists. We donate ant colonies to schools, deliver free educational talks, reintroduce threatened species like the wood ant, and attend public events to showcase ethical antkeeping. We were founded by the team behind Ant Antics Ltd, the UK’s first antkeeping store. The site should feel nature-focused, inspiring, and trustworthy, with an educational tone. We want to feature our mission, projects, how to get involved, and resources for teachers.
MISSION & HISTORY.
The Ant Antics Foundation is driven by a deep commitment to the conservation and preservation of native ant species and their habitats. Our history is rooted in a passion for the natural world and a desire to inspire others to appreciate and protect the intricate ecosystems where ants play a vital role. Our approach involves proactive outreach, education, and hands-on projects that directly contribute to the well-being of ant communities and their environments. Through our initiatives, we aim to instill a sense of wonder about the natural world and cultivate a new generation of ecologists and conservationists who will carry on our mission.
WILDLIFE CHALLENGES.
PARTNERS.
Whilst we are primarily funded by Ant Antics Ltd (the retail arm of the Ant Antics Brand) we also have partners we work with in the interest of protecting ecosystems.
